It’s a while since I uploaded an article. It will probably be a while until I do another after this one. I’m in an entirely different headspace at present and I must follow where my creative compass and intuition are leading me. The year we just had, was a year of unparalleled success in terms of enhancing public awareness to the fact that those masquerading as our representatives are working for outside forces who are actively trying to destroy us and who we are as a people; by many sophisticated, clandestine means, that I and many others have written at length about, but that is not for this article.
That achievement of forcing the discussion into the mainstream, is a huge leap forward in the right direction. Changing the mind of the body politik is so often a painfully slow process, it usually happens when it’s far too late. The age of free flowing information and an uncensored (albeit temporarily) Twitter, has played a massive role in accelerating the debate to where we are now. Politicians and journalists having to block ordinary citizens because they have no credible answers for them outside of the unchallenged sound bytes they recycle to each other inside the safe houses of RTÉ, Virgin Media and Newstalk.
The opposition too have been exposed as merely the establishment’s left limb and the hard left keffiyeh-clad headbangers, People Before Profit - their street riff-raff for staged funded demonstrations and vitriolic, divisive counter protests. We have more or less reached a critical mass now with more and more people getting active and engaged in our nation’s affairs. The people (working class in particular) have become sufficiently well versed on all the talking points and how to articulately express them, that they now have the confidence to speak above their breath on these matters in the staff canteen. That is massive because they were depending on the threats and name calling to bully people into silence and submission. That trust people once had, is never going to return. People now (in increasingly greater numbers) understand the urgency and know they must take matters into their own hands.
The topic of this article however, is not primarily concerning any of the negative aspects of the precarious situation we are faced with, although these are now sadly inescapable parts of everyday life for many of us who dare to care. No, instead the focus of this piece is to attempt to extract a positive needle from the doom laden haystack. I recently finished a musical project that took a lot out of me emotionally. I wanted to create something beautiful, something that celebrated our culture and who we truly are as a people. To hold up a mirror to the Irish and say, “is this what you are prepared to willingly surrender?” My desire was to create an apolitical anthem which bypassed all the noise. A song for the whole island.
A song also for our people of Irish descent all across the four corners of the earth, who are drawn to this place and who carry Ireland in their hearts as their ancestors once did. Those who feel the pull of this magnetic little green jewel in the Atlantic and feel a spiritual connection to her, this song is for you too. One which blocked out all the hatred and divisiveness that has gripped our people since this internal silent global coup was enacted. I myself admittedly have been no angel when it comes to the fight we find ourselves in and I have had to say and do certain things I’m not proud of, in order to tactically drive the discussion on to the next stage. I have had to get my hands dirty more than once in this culture war, but the difference between my/our motives in comparison with those we are facing down, is we do it for love in our spare time, whereas they do it for money.
It was my intention to fire a beam of pure artistic light into the centre of any Irish heart that was not already totally lost to us. To rekindle the folk spirit and provide an audio-visual aid for people to rediscover just how special this land and its people are. Show them the sounds and imagery that are slowly being erased from our culture in favour of post-modern, Cultural Marxist vomit. True art, presented with an honesty and vulnerability, has the power to be a unifying force, a power which transcends the now imposing walls and deep canyons of the political divide. The message in this song is nothing more than a love for Ireland. That’s it.
Any opponent of this being put out, which is basically no more than an inoffensive celebration of who we are, will have by default revealed themselves to be our enemy. Whether they enjoy the music or if it’s not to their taste is irrelevant, the point is, if they have a problem with its message being heard and if so, why? What is there to fear? They would much rather put out divisive, throwaway garbage like our Eurovision entry because it immediately creates division, those who are calling for its cancellation walked straight into the trap laid by the establishment, I’m afraid, sorry to break it to you. Many people claiming to be spiritually enlightened still have a bit of work to do sadly. They want us tearing each other apart. They want us at each other’s throats and this particular song provided them with that gift.
The fact that they are exploiting a poor young mentally unstable biological female to achieve this, is indicative of just how devious and wicked they are. This individual is a prop but she believes herself to be there on merit. She is there simply for her vulgarity and the community she represents, nothing more. I have nothing personal against this person, why would I? She has done me no harm, but I don’t think a country as rich with talent could possibly produce something like this to represent the country on the world stage if this was a meritocracy and not agenda driven. Why people are so annoyed and angry about Eurovision is also difficult to understand. This is not any longer the competition we remember from our youth. Dana International won the competition in 1998, one would think that would be enough notice as to the desired trajectory of this particular show. There’s also the absolute obviousness of them doing something like this. Did you seriously believe that this particular act chosen to represent Ireland wasn’t a distinct possibility at some point? I’m only amazed it took this long! I will admit I was initially angered myself, but quickly realised it for the energy harvesting exercise that it is. As for the question of children watching it, simple, you’re the adult, don’t let them. Treat it as you would an unsuitable age rated movie. Eurovision hasn’t been child friendly for decades anyway.
The way you beat mediocrity is not by cancelling it. The way you do it is by providing a better alternative for people. By focusing on quality and striving for excellence. Show it up, prove that for all the money thrown at it, it will only be well received due to it’s synthetic elevation by a panel of judges from the same community as the performer, who look like they are straight from the Hunger Games Capitol. The nodding dogs in the public - still in the trance - of course do the rest by mindlessly cheering it on, consenting to the cries of ‘bold’ and ‘groundbreaking’ when it’s nothing of the kind. People are still in an induced coma for the most part, thanks to the state’s propaganda machine. That spell is largely breaking, so please don’t show the public that you are no different to what you are fighting by calling for it to be cancelled. That’s not in any way helpful. Just be better. Let it fall on its own sword. Breathing energy into it, only serves to enhance its strength and mystique, fortifying it with a siege-like mentality, when all it deserves is to be ridiculed at best or at worst, ignored.
Go out and create your own art and weaponise it against them. What’s stopping you. For that is something they truly fear. They don’t fear political parties or groups they can ultimately over time, weaken, infiltrate, control and steer from within. What they truly fear, more than anything else, is the intangible. They fear the transmission of emotions and ideas. Something that could create a momentum that goes off script. Something with an energy all of its own, a spark of inspiration that cannot be defined. That they cannot control. Something that stirs a soul, that pumps a heart. Something that could arouse the unexpected and unthinkable. That could even reawaken and bring forth the wild, untamed spirit of the ancient Gael. A creature of myth, with unparalleled creative genius and imagination, who can manipulate the fabric of reality with the power of the mind and creativity. Who inherently and naturally, understands the magical process and has the proven ability to topple empires against all odds. They fear this because they can’t contain it once it breaks loose. How can they possibly commodify a population so in tune with their land and spiritual consciousness, who are willing to die defending it like those of yesteryear. Which is why we are being culturally/socially attacked and planted. The timing of me putting the finishing touches to my song, coinciding with the Eurovision song was coincidental and fortuitous and I possibly could have done a little bit more work on the production, but it needed to go out at this time to show and remind people of the real Ireland they are trying to censor and cancel.
They have to artificially suppress our culture and finance to the hilt (with our money) the gaudy, synthetic, soulless one they wish to replace it with. They need to shadow-ban, block and cancel our message getting through, simply because, if there was a level playing field, what they are trying to sell and superimpose onto us, wouldn’t stand a chance against our natural talent and ability and moreover our willingness to do it freely. There’s a reason Jedward were regulars on RTÉ while real talent would probably be moved on for not having a busker’s license. All part of the demoralisation. “You Irish are nothing, these are your artistic champions” or something to that effect. Even with all the money behind mainstream acts - and in particular the latest incarnation of what is supposed to be a true representation of the new progressive Ireland - they still can’t afford to fight fair.
Even those who are leading musicians in Ireland have provided us with absolutely nothing of any value in the past four years. Certainly nothing remotely edgy or voicing any social commentary that’s current and relevant to now. They are either silent or on board with the regime. How can any of them be taken seriously ever again? How will their words have any impact or meaning? But the chosen ones will still be promoted by the mainstream as though they were troubadours of the people. The people, by and large are too smart to buy that anymore. When they needed someone to sing for them they all cowered and hid. They were nowhere. My new song Mother Ériu is being heavily suppressed and shadow-banned across all platforms. I have been contacted by numerous people confirming this, so please share it if haven’t already done so. I want it to reach as many of the Irish people as possible. Many are telling me they are getting blank screens when trying to watch the video or reel.
The Irish Inquiry shared it on X but in 3 days it hasn’t moved in terms of engagement, despite them sharing my ‘Crusty Hoor’ parody (it may have alerted them due to its reach) which amassed thousands of shares and retweets. Another friend who regularly shares my content on TikTok informed me that her account was deleted, perhaps (I can’t be certain) in anticipation to her posting my video, as she told me she had received no flags or warnings for any recent or previous uploads. The philosophical question I raised in this song depicting Ireland as the mother who provides us with all the necessities of life, is a dangerous one for the regime and leads to the natural conclusion that we are her children. The state now wants to assume that parental role. Perhaps though, it’s more like a psychopathic step father who abuses and rapes the mother while pretending to love her. It adopts as it’s own, and becomes surrogate, to any criminal or delinquent who arrives on her shores, with no love for the mother, and prioritises these interlopers who are presented to us as ‘refugees’, and are favoured above the biological children of the mother.
So what does all this tell us? Why would they go to such lengths to prevent a song with absolutely no hateful or offensive messaging within it from being seen? It tells us they are terrified of the power of pure and honest artistic expression. They are also scared of the possibility that the Irish might actually remember who and what they are and put a stop to all this nonsense once and for all. By targeting and suppressing this song in the manner they have done, all they have done, is shown us that they fear us fighting them in this arena. It’s an admission they can’t beat us on this particular battlefield. Which is precisely why this is where we need to take the fight to next.
This is your chance artists. Go and grab your place in history and change the game forever. Break the stranglehold the system has on the music industry. The years of diluted, safe manufactured acts can all be a distant memory. We can create a Gaelic folk/punk revival and bypass the crumbling edifice that will inevitably collapse under its own banality. Let’s speed up that process and not wait for permission. You need to be prepared to work for free. You are serving a higher cause than financial reward. Saving the country is the priority, if that goal is achieved, the people will remember who stood up for them and used their voice when it mattered most. Maybe then you will get your reward but for now, there are more important things than money.
That will be my focus this year. I have more than enough material for an album without having to write a single song, so I’m going to put all my efforts into recording one this year. Start creating and you will provide the people with an underground artistic movement that they can really get behind. There is a vacuum there now, they are screaming for it! Start writing about these times. The most important, interesting, incredible and terrifying time in history. It’s not like there’s not enough inspiration. Put these dinosaurs on notice that you have arrived and this is a hostile takeover!
While it can’t be denied, the solutions to many of the problems we currently face will require statutory reform and political power to rectify, I feel we are nowhere near that point as of yet, in terms of public buy in. We have no idea what is best for Ireland right now, simply because we have forgotten what Ireland actually is. There is much work still to do when it comes to capturing people’s imagination and drilling a sense of Irish pride, identity and nationalism into them. I am also acutely aware that the window of time to achieve this is closing more each day, but we must still try. We are a people with amnesia, we have lost so much self respect due to the incessant gaslighting from one of the most psychologically repressive regimes in the world. A regime who hates our guts. We are constantly being antagonised by a political elite who despises us so much they want to replace us. They speak of hate, yet struggle to define the concept while simultaneously being the paradoxical embodiment of it. Would the suppression of art not constitute as hateful? I’m sure if it was the Eurovision act, it would do alright. Instead we are most certainly subsidising it. The establishment uses our tax money to fund their own pet projects and NGO’s, as it placates the masses with crumbs and trinkets, giving the impression they are helping with subsidies and other such incentives with money they have taken from the people in the first place.
Greed and personal gain has replaced any sense of national pride and while it is slowly changing and coming back, the majority are still out for what they themselves can get. Their focus is still - despite the turmoil that is now in their faces - on things like getting a newer car than the neighbour or building an extension. Possessions, that end up possessing them and keeping them in more debt. How they still haven’t managed to grasp the gravity of the geopolitical situation unfolding and how it puts every one of those material things they chase in jeopardy, is mind blowing at this stage. When your country is stripped and sold off to the highest bidder, who owns the land under your feet that your big house sits on? Those who, by now, haven’t looked beyond themselves to something greater, something more than them are in for a serious shock. This is not like any other time in history, we are in an era of fabricated crises where individual responsibility is what will help guide us through to shape the new paradigm. This goes for artists too. You have a massively important role in this. It’s time to be brave. Use your voice and your power.
We have changed the game in terms of journalism and how people are informed and the powers that be know it! Hence the censorship and upcoming hate speech laws. Now it’s time for us to open up another front. The arts provides us with a vehicle to disguise our message, providing us with a protective shield against potential draconian hate crime legislation. They also cannot be seen to ban it. A five minute song and video can do as much damage as a book, when it comes to shaping thought patterns in people’s brains. It goes into the subconscious and does its own thing. It also makes them feel something. People are numb after the past few years. They are still in shock many of them. Most still with no comprehension of the truth, that they are in an abusive relationship with their government. The denial is strong. Also the fear of admitting to being duped. They need guidance and a reminder that it wasn’t always like this and doesn’t have to be in the future. But it’s not all bad, many positive things have happened that would have been inconceivable in the dark days of 2020. We have now gotten into people’s heads to the point where now they are educating others and taking action themselves, now we need to make inroads on new terrain. We need to capture their hearts. When the two things marry and their hearts and minds come into alignment, that is when we will see real change.
As long as we and others like us draw breath, Ireland lives. It lives in all of us. We will keep it alive, as will our children after us. I will leave you now with a piece of music, inspired not only by this magnificently, beautiful island upon which we live, but also inspired by you - the Irish people. A beautiful, unique people so full of love. Loved the world over for our warmth, passion, humour, wit, talent, goodness and so much more. The outpouring of love I received from people all across the country was truly inspiring, heartwarming and humbling and proof that there is still hope. The Irish not only deserve to exist on this island. We deserve to thrive. Ireland is and will always be our home.
This is my ode to you. This is your song.
Thank you for this very moving song and video, Stephen. Thank you for speaking up for Ireland and her people. Thank you for honouring our ancestors, who must be spinning in their graves at the on-going destruction of the country that they loved enough to fight and die for. You are a true patriot.!
There are chunks from this piece that can stand alone and serve as a guiding clarion for this tossed about country, currently under the jack boot of a vacuous lifeless dimension of political fuckery, cooked up in god knows where & served up in that parasite palace of gangster house.
Thoroughly shining a light - more of this hard analysis from those who are blessed with eyes that see & a heart that feels.
