Thank you for summarising. Not only do I echo these sentiments, the result has emboldened me to have conversations with people again- because clearly there are some of you who feel the same as me. Pity it took the referendum to discover this , given the quashing of normal conversation and discussion and debate on ‘sensitive’ topics.

Thank you for engaging, yes that will be a huge upshot of this result, it will give people permission to speak and they won’t be silenced. Some of us are exhausted because for 4 years we’ve had to shout, but now we can relax and let others say what they’ve been wanting to say for a long long time. We will be there for support if any of them dare to try silence anyone beginning to find their voice. There’s a whole movement now of battle hardened people who now exactly how to deal with these eejits. Don’t be afraid to have your say. We will have your back. The more you do it the better and more confident you’ll feel.
100% and it’s ok not to agree, Irish people used to be able to do that, and we’d have a great chat in doing it. The sundering of that ease and humour was a poison in our nation that this result, purged. God bless us all, be well Stephen.
Well written Stephen, your regular SubStack has been a fair measure of comfort for like minded souls over the last few years.
Having had time to digest and enjoy the fantastic victory of a double NO vote last Friday, I began to critique the abject failure of our globalist puppets in the presentation of these ammendments and push for a Yes vote.
Are they that fucking thick with their shoddy showing of these proposals,the blatant lies and subsequent leaked and damning advice from the Attorney General (that was ignored), hiw did they think both would pass.
They appear to be committing political suicide, or are they that fucking thick? Is the emphatic backlash of the Irish people an excuse for them to slip quietly into the sunset, as basically it looks like they're stacking the odds against themselves winning the next election.
They think this might save them some serious scrutiny over their handling of Covid and the injections, should a genuine enquiry come to pass.
Maybe I'm overthinking the job, or maybe they are that fucking thick.
